CHEF Francesco CARVELLI

Born in Mesoraca, Italy, small town of Calabria, Chef Francesco grew up with a passion for cooking, passed on from his mother Elisa Carvelli and encouraged by his father Salvatore Carvelli. At the age of 13 years old, Francesco attended culinary school in Calabria, where he developed his skills in the kitchen and discovered the love for food as an art.

After graduation, Francesco went to Bellinzone, Switzerland to work on his first restaurant Il Nuovo Fiore where he learned the art of making pizza. He then went back to Italy to work at L’ Impero restaurant. At the age of 20, came to USA to work at his brother's restaurant, Ristorante Davinci's in Marco Island Florida, where he became a Sous Chef and soon after, a Chef. Marco Prime is consistently voted one of the best restaurants in Marco Island.
